The company needed to laser marking a DataMatrix code on differential boxes, integrating the laser marker in a robot cell.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b44a477 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"b44a477\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"zn_text_box eluid1b0a3d9b zn_text_box-light element-scheme--light\">We therefore designed and built the<strong> Tower Shuttle, <\/strong>a<strong> customized laser marker equipped with YZ axes, a 20Watt fiber optic laser designed for integration with robots.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>The biggest strength of the TowerShuttle is that it interfaces with the robot that loads and unloads the component on the motorized slide, which moves the template in Y, leading it inside the cabin, preventing any problems or damage to the machine itself.<\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element differential box on the corresponding template, the <strong>external piece presence sensors<\/strong> <strong>detect it <\/strong>and the <strong>motorized system with integrated encoder<\/strong> lets the slide move with <strong>extreme precision<\/strong>: at this point, the marking cycle can begin.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Inside the cabin is a <strong>camera, positioned next to the marking head<\/strong>, which frames the differential box and checks its position before starting <strong><a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.lasitlaser.com\/\"   title=\"laser marking\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">laser marking<\/a><\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div quality of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lasitlaser.com\/laser-marking-2d-codes\/\">DataMatrix<\/a><\/strong> and the components comes out from the cabin to be picked up by the robot and inserted in the element-scheme--light\">\n<p>One of the key strengths of the TowerShuttle is its <strong>customized software for both interfacing with the robot<\/strong> and for exchanging data with the customer database and cataloguing the internal production information.<\/p><p><br>Each differential box houses holes (made by CNC), whose position depends on the machine that produced the piece itself. The DataMatrix that must be marked on it is different depending on the position of the output the contents of the DataMatrix that corresponds to that differential. <br \/>In this way, <strong>the internal customer database stays updated with the traceability data relative to each manufactured component<\/strong> and it is possible to trace back the piece to its origin in case of product damage.\u00a0<\/p><p>The safety of the <strong>laser marker<\/strong> is managed entirely in <strong>ProfiSAFE<\/strong>, that is a communication protocol for management of the safety system, avoiding the wiring with external
