components<\/strong>, which puts companies such as BSH, Whirpool, Electrolux, Ar\u00e7elik and Daewoo Electronics in first place worldwide.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-inner-section elementor-element elementor-element-3b57c60b elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"3b57c60b\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\" is the only technology that <strong>guarantees the permanence of its result<\/strong> and, the more this becomes evident, the more the big players consider lasers as the best method for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lasitlaser.com\/laser-marking-2d-codes\/\">marking codes<\/a>, logos, texts and numbers on their components.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-482ef9e9 class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The precision of the laser plays an essential role: the <strong>small size of the spot<\/strong>, in fact, allows for even more <strong>complex, microscopic and elaborate markings<\/strong>, at a level of perfection not achievable with other LASIT solution<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-20631dfa elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"20631dfa\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The Home Appliance industry is characterized by a wide variety of products, which in turn are composed of <strong>irregularly shaped parts with complex and large-sized geometries<\/strong>, making it difficult to build versatile systems and develop the technologies needed to mark them.<\/p><p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lasitlaser.com\/laser-marking-about-us\/\">LASIT<\/a> thus began its POLARIS project<\/strong>, first carefully studying the industry needs and then proceeding with the development and implementation of a line of laser markers able to address the three main problems:<\/p><ul><li><strong>The irregularity of part surfaces<\/strong>, such as the fronts of washing machines and dishwashers, where the different points to be marked are<strong> located at different distances from the laser head, with a high risk of compromising marking<\/strong> and obtaining an imperfect result<\/li><li><strong>Marking contrast and color<\/strong> competing with pad printing technology, which makes use of inks of any color.<\/li><li><strong>Productivity<\/strong>, or rather creating a prototype suitable for massive production chains, handling more parts faster<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-22103b36 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"22103b36\" data-element_type=\"section\" elementor-size-default\">Laser marking on irregular parts<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-28853c2e elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"28853c2e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The problem component surface irregularity has been solved by using:<\/p><ol><li>A 3D scanner which is <strong>able to automatically detect the geometry of the part<\/strong>.<\/li><li><strong>Customized software<\/strong> with a complex algorithm that allows you to process the 3D file detected by the scanner and transfer it automatically to FlyCAD (2D).<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lasitlaser.com\/3d-laser-marking-myths-and-secrets-of-this-technology\/\"><strong>A three-axis head<\/strong><\/a>, with which we are able to automatically adjust the focal distance. The photographic objective lenses re-draw the Gaussian Beam formed by the dynamic expander lens on the target plane, and the <strong>movement of the dynamic expander lenses through the linear side-shifter varies the distance of the focal plane<\/strong> (and therefore the dynamic focus), thus achieving perfectly straight lines even on curved surfaces.<\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-59fd366f elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"59fd366f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h4 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Marking quality and contrast<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-72f522ad elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"72f522ad\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Marking quality was another major challenge in the implementation of the POLARIS project. In fact, even though we were sure that the best laser for ABS and PMMA was a 355nm laser, a great deal of testing had to be performed to get to the point of choosing the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lasitlaser.com\/laser-for-integration\/uv-laser\/\">UV<\/a> and finding the ideal parameters.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-size-default\">POLARIS laser system productivity<\/h5>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-56b1e5af elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"56b1e5af\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>To make this <strong>laser system<\/strong> as productive as possible, we have equipped it with:<\/p><ol><li><strong>900&#215;450 mm XY axes: <\/strong>considering only a focal marking area of 380mm, we could not have marked even <strong>a front of a washing machine (about 600mm)<\/strong>. With axes of this length, we can not only mark the entire front, but also <strong>place two of them on the work surface<\/strong>.
